Targetted, neuroscience-informed training

This course is designed for qualified hypnotherapists who want to build confidence and clinical competence when supporting clients experiencing low mood, emotional flatness, or mild depression.

It provides clear structures and practical tools—starting from how to assess suitability for hypnotherapy using a tailored intake process, including tools such as the PHQ-9, through to knowing when and how to signpost or refer clients appropriately. You’ll gain a step-by-step understanding of how to support clients safely and ethically within your scope of practice.

The training integrates current neuroscience with a client-centred, relational approach. You’ll learn how to work with the nervous system to support emotional regulation and engagement, using strategies that help clients gradually reconnect with motivation, resilience, and a sense of self-direction.

Key learning areas include:

  • Understanding the neurobiology of low mood and mild depression
  • Using structured assessment tools to support ethical decision-making
  • Creating psychological safety and supporting nervous system regulation
  • Hypnotic approaches that gently restore connection, interest, and inner resourcefulness
  • Building therapeutic rapport with clients who may be withdrawn or emotionally disengaged
