Narcissistic abuse by a mother to a child is often hidden under a veneer or respectability. The hidden emotional bruises are every bit as damaging as the signs of physical abuse. However, it is far harder to identify yourself as a victim of narcissistic abuse. You may have spent years thinking there is something wrong with you, self-medicating and engaging in self-destructive behaviours. Perhaps you're a people pleaser who has attracted other narcissists in your adult relationships. This course takes you through the steps to identifying and recovering from narcissistic abuse with a series of exercises and guided meditations. By the end of it, you'll be well on the road to accepting and loving yourself.
Course Curriculum
Claire Jack, Ph.D.
Hi. I'm Claire. I became interested in narcissistic abuse when I worked with clients who were experiencing deep pain and self-destructive behaviours, but who couldn't pinpoint anything obviously 'terrible' as happening in their childhood. Many of these clients turned out to have narcissistic parents and were subjected to criticism, emotional manipulation, control and a discussion of their opinions. This often results in low self esteem and self dislike. If you've experienced narcissistic abuse, you can take control and turn things around and this course is here to help you.
